Platform aimed at helping adults, such as teachers, coaches, and parents, understand children's emotional and mental well-being.
My name is Sofiia Kovtun, and I am the creator of KOTF, which stands for Kids of The Future. And the mission statement of the project is “Right now we need to help those who are our future.” KOTF is a platform aimed at helping adults, such as teachers, coaches, and parents, understand children`s emotional and mental well-being. The idea came to me after Russia invaded Ukraine and I felt like it’s unfair that children need to go through such hardships.
It`s important to understand that this website does not treat or help with PTSD, this website facilitates early identification of red flags, enabling parents to seek professional help when needed, as well as connect with their children better. I firmly believe that this initiative is not only essential during times of crisis but also for any family seeking to better understand their children. The platform contains Articles written by therapists, helpful videos, meditations for children, and a game.
Our collection features articles related to children's well-being, authored by experts in psychology and psychiatry, available in both Ukrainian and English. Each article includes the author's educational background and contact information in the description, ensuring credibility.
Interviews with experts, yoga , stretching, breathing exercises and more. These materials aim to provide adults with the tools and insights needed to foster a deeper bond with their kids.
KOTF is offering meditations designed exclusively for children. Its engaging approach ensures that children feel no pressure, allowing them to fully relax and unwind. Through imaginative adventures such as exploring outer space, embarking on a journey through a magical forest, or diving into the ocean to meet mermaids, and much more, KOTF provides a fun and calming experience tailored to young minds.
This mental health game is designed to assist children in connecting with their physical and emotional selves, enabling them to articulate their feelings more effectively. It also aids parents in recognizing early warning signs, fostering a supportive environment for addressing mental health concerns.
